LISL PONGER – The Master Narrative
Weltmuseum Wien
Design of an installation
Vienna, 2017 to 2019

On the second floor of the Weltmuseum Vienna we designed a black cube in front of the entrance to the permanent exhibition. One corner juts into the arcade, ignoring the imperial architecture. It is the "Museum of Foreign and Native Cultures" (MUKUL), an installation by Lisl Ponger for the Weltmuseum Wien. Inside MUKUL, six large-scale staged photographs are presented in light boxes, as well as a 2-channel installation entitled "The Master Narrative and Don Durito" that lasts an entire museum day!
